Recently, on a cool, windy beach outing, we wore our respective pants along the coast, and neither of us felt the wind through them in those conditions. Later that day, we wore them while shopping at an outdoor mall and stayed completely comfortable.

My husband Brian has been wearing the RADIKL Outsider around camp for practical, everyday work. He reaches for them for chores like chopping wood and for active playtime with our dogs. Because we travel full-time in our vehicles, these have earned a regular place in his small rotation.

KÜHL Women’s Frost Softshell Tight Review
I love these tights and am thinking about buying a pair in a different color. They have become one of my go-to pieces for trail running with my dog on crisp early mornings, chilly hikes, cool evenings around camp, and everyday dog walks.
Comfort and Movement
The bonded microfleece interior is soft against bare skin and adds warmth without bulk. It feels like I’m barely wearing pants at all. On our cool, windy beach outing, I didn’t feel the breeze come through them. I haven’t tested them in the rain yet, but they were very impressive in the cool wind.
The four-way stretch makes it easy to move naturally, especially when handling a dog leash. I also get a lot of use out of the two drop-in thigh pockets for carrying my phone in one pocket and dog treats in the other.
Sizing Note
The fit is supportive and close to the body. I usually wear a size 8, but I sized up to a 10 because it feels more comfortable to me. That doesn’t mean everyone needs to size up, but it’s worth considering if you prefer extra room through the hips or fall between sizes. For reference, I’m 5’8″ and about 155 pounds.
